A government scheme is offering £5,000 grants for a security analysis of your website and systems. Even websites that do not obviously hold sensitive information still need security.
There are lots of things to consider when thinking of cyber security: your website, databases on and off premises, wireless internet, users with access to download and install applications, to name a few.
All these and many others are routes for potential attacks or compromises in security. The cyber security funding, offered by Innovate UK, gives you £5k worth of funding for an advisor to analyse and provide recommendations and solutions to help protect against cyber threats.
Innovate UK are a strategy board aimed at helping business in the UK grow, in order to stimulate the economy. They started the scheme in order to raise awareness of cyber security in the UK.
Any website can benefit from a cyber security analysis. Even websites that do not obviously hold sensitive information still need to be considered - as are the costs associated with cleaning up after a security compromise.
